Teaching aerial hoop requires a clear understanding of the skills, progressions, technique, spotting, diverse learning styles, and classroom management to help students find success. We have over 17 years of teaching aerial dance and creating unique diverse class curriculums. We also specialize in low lyra and truly believe in making this art form accessible to more people.
PLEASE NOTE: This training is designed for people who have lyra experience and want to learn how to TEACH a class. If you do not have current lyra experience please take classes in your local area first before attending a training.
PREREQUISITES
One year of experience on aerial hoop.
Must be injury-free (or have clearance from a health care provider to participate)
Must be at an intermediate level (mount top bar without assistance, hocks hang unassisted, clean side mounts)
Previous experience in teaching is recommended but not required.

Warm ups and Cool Downs
Conditioning exercises
Spotting techniques
Safety and Injury Prevention Tips
Basic Physiology and Anatomy (as it relates to aerial dance)
How to structure classes
Teaching methodologies and Cueing for auditory, visual and kinesthetic learners
Modifications and progressions
Classroom management
Teaching Clinics (Master Trainer will assess abilities to instruct aerial tricks)
Access to video library of all moves taught during training
Video Test Out Required
